Join us in Mitchell, Oregon where we will be photographing the many geological wonders of the John Day Fossil Bed National Monument, including the Painted Hills which is considered one of the 7 wonders of Oregon. Layers of colorful rock from rich reds to bright blues will be waiting for you at the various locations we plan to visit. October is a great time to be there with weather typically consisting of cool evenings and comfortable days as the limited foliage starts to change for the season.
