“Beyond Perfection: Balancing Artistry and Technique in Landscape Photography”
Technical virtuosity has the potential to elevate a photograph significantly, but pursuing perfection can also smother our creative fire or prevent us from creating a photo at all. In this keynote presentation, photographer Erin Babnik draws upon her background as an artist and an art educator to identify three realms of the creative process where focusing on technique can lead photographers astray. Embracing the belief that creativity is a messy place, Erin offers advice for balancing high standards of craftsmanship with the capricious nature of inspiration.
