This is the first of many video tutorials and demos I plan to post here on the Photo Cascadia blog. I’m in the process of producing a series of instructional Photoshop videos for online and DVD lessons. I’ve also starting doing remote online workshops for people who don’t want to travel all the way to Portland to take a Photoshop workshop. These kind of video tutorials and online lessons have become so popular, it’s changing the way I do workshops. When I do a one on one workshop with a student, I record the whole session; they don’t need to take notes and they can take the video home to study everything we covered in detail, including things they may have missed. They’re incredible teaching tools.
This is just a short demo of some of my favorite new features in Photoshop CS5, I’m not going to go into too much detail, but instead try to introduce the powerful new tools available in Photoshop CS5 and how they can be applied to landscape photography. I’ve only had my hands on Photoshop CS5 for a few days, but it’s already changing the way I think about editing. Kudos to Adobe.

Zack is an award winning photographer specializing in fine art landscape photography and post processing. “Art is in my blood. My father is a well known poster artist and painter. My mom was a painter, and print maker and my brother is an art director at Facebook. Art is a way of life for my family, and I will hopefully pass it on to my children as well.”
“The love of nature is also something that my family and I are passionate about. I’ve been hiking, biking, rock climbing and backpacking since I was little. From an early age, I learned to appreciate the beauty in nature.”
