The Photo Cascadia team is proud and excited to announce the pre-sale launch of the book Oregon, My Oregon: Land of Natural Wonders. This book is a high-quality photographic collection showcasing the natural wonders that can be found across this alluring state. Oregon is a big, beautiful state filled with mountains, valleys, deserts, cities, towns, an amazing coastline, and much more. Readers will be greeted with over 200 photos and captions covering a wide range of photogenic locations from the well-trodden to the lesser seen. The imagery in this book was the collaborative effort of the Photo Cascadia team, captured over many years of travel throughout the state.
Oregon, My Oregon includes a foreword by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and former Oregonian, Nicholas D. Kristof, who captures the breadth and beauty of the state and this must-have book: “Oregon contains multitudes, for this is a state that spans a tremendous range of people, cultures, and terrains. It’s a range that this book seeks to illuminate, along with Oregon’s spectacularly beautiful and varied landscape.”
The book is available for pre-order now through many book stores and will be released on October 13, 2020. In an effort to support local bookstores we are recommending Powell’s City of Books in Portland, Oregon to place your pre-order.
Naturally, a question that will come up is how does a book like this materialize and ultimately make it’s way across the finish line to launch? It’s no easy effort and by the time the book will be released it will have been close to a two-year effort! The Photo Cascadia team is thankful for the relationship with Timber Press, a long-standing established publisher in Portland, Oregon that is behind this book. They were looking to create a new photographic book of Oregon and reached out to Photo Cascadia to collaborate with them on this very rewarding project.
Thank you to all of our viewers over the years that have allowed Photo Cascadia to continue the journey and ultimately help make accomplishments like this possible. We are truly grateful.
